Today I'm sharing one of the projects we made at Spring Soiree' last weekend. This is an EASY project and is helped along by a cheap-o frame plus a 5x7" piece of flashing.
We used the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper for the background and added a strip of the Delicate Details Lace Tape topped with a strip of the Summer Starfruit Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon. The flowers are embossed in Clear and Pewter onto Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple Cardstocks. Then they are die-cut (along with the leaves in Gumball Green Cardstock) using the Secret Garden Framelits. You save a nice bit by getting the Secret Garden Bundle.
The magnets are made by removing the tines on the back of each Designer Builder Brad (just move them back and forth until they fall off - no scissors needed) and adhering a super-strong magnet with a Mini Glue Dot. I topped off each Designer Brad with a Dahlia, using 2 Mini Glue Dots. Insert the paper and flashing into the frame then pop up some of the flowers. Store the glass piece behind all of the other elements in the frame. By the way, I did NOT adhere the paper to the flashing. It's snug in the frame due to the thickness of the glass.
This makes a delightful gift and is very inexpensive to make. Enjoy!
